Woburn Safari Park

Background
Woburn Safari Park, situated in Bedfordshire, is one of the UK’s leading safari parks and has been running for over 50 years, building up an enviable reputation for excellence.


Objectives
To increase exposure of the Woburn Safari Park brand to the core family marketplace in order to build on visitor numbers during the key school holiday periods and raise awareness within a larger catchment area.


Our Solution
Hare Carding developed a sales promotion strategy to drive traffic effectively without compromising brand values.

Sourcing the best third-party partner on the basis of customer profile, brand values and customer numbers, Hare Carding negotiated a significant regional in-store promotion with the UK’s largest supermarket chain, Tesco.

Starting with 30 stores and swelling to 60 in years two and three, the campaign was a resounding success for both Woburn and Tesco. Hare Carding developed and managed the promotional mechanic, produced in-store posters and redemption vouchers.

Results
Incremental advertising revenue consistently exceeded expectations for these promotions and, in addition, the client benefited from associated secondary spend on site.
