Wallop Defence Systems

Background
Part of the Cobham group of companies, Wallop Defence Systems manufactures aircraft countermeasures and pyrotechnics for the defence and aerospace industry. Based in Hampshire, the company utilises the services of Hare Carding across all on and off-line media.

Project Objective
Develop a tool which could be used to promote the client’s Naval Decoy System – SuperBarricade, to high ranking military personnel and government procurement officers


Our Solution
Promoting any type of product or service to government is difficult. There are many regulations which control what can and can’t be sent to government officials. Working to the client’s brief, Hare Carding suggested an interactive marketing tool to promote the SuperBarricade system to high level personnel within the Ministry of Defence as well as similar organisations abroad.

The resulting interactive multimedia CD-Rom included original video footage of the product in action, commissioned animation, a professional voice over as well as an accompanying musical score. All storyboards and concepts were developed by the Hare Carding team.

Results

The production has been well received by both potential customers and the client’s own team. The Hare Carding digital team has since gone on to produce a similar product for Aircraft Countermeasures, which included location filming and a worldwide search for video footage of military aircraft shedding countermeasure flares.
