Our Solution
Having worked with the LSC for two years, Hare Carding
has a broad and in-depth understanding of its role
and objectives. Our work is based around raising awareness
of the importance of post sixteen education and training
in a diverse and widely-spread geographical population
in Dorset.

This particular project centred on the Gremlins characters, developed for a national campaign, with awareness already delivered by a series of television adverts. A series of road shows was designed to attract all adults in the area by highlighting the availability and importance of free learning initiatives and how each person can ‘get away’ from their own personal gremlins. The road shows took place at local market towns around the area.
Our campaign focused on the characters themselves with the initiative being launched at a high profile press event at which the Gremlins were airlifted into the region. Additional media events at each of the localised road shows further encouraged and stimulated radio and print coverage. In addition to PR, Hare Carding produced a wide variety of other deliverables to support the campaign, including:
|
Advertising in regional press titles, as well as associated promotions and competitions |
|
Case studies which could be used in the traditional press, or on-line, to highlight problems/difficulties and solutions |
|
Merchandise which could be handed out by the team for a longer campaign 'shelf-life' |
Results
The campaign was a success with the Gremlins visiting eight
locations in just over two weeks. The project forms part of
an on-going monthly retainer-based relationship with the Learning
and Skills Council.
